本研究室では，分子シミュレーションを用いて様々なソフトマターに関する現象を分子・原子レベルで解明することを目的としています． [ソフトマターとは？] これまで分子シミュレーションは主に基礎研究や理論研究に主に用いられてきました．しかし近年のコンピュータの劇的な進化やアルゴリズムの発展に伴い，徐々に工学的な応用研究へも踏み出せるようになってきました．
例えば現在，車や飛行機の設計開発で連続体シミュレーションが用いられているように，今後化学や薬学，医学製品の開発で分子シミュレーションが用いられる日が来るはずです．今がまさにそのPhase transitionの時期で，私達は分子シミュレーションを工学に利用するための最先端の研究に取り組んでいます．
研究内容は機械工学だけでなく，物理化学や化学工学，医学など多くの分野に渡り，共同研究も幅広く行っています．研究内容に興味がございましたら，お気軽にお問い合わせ下さい．

 [2025/12/4 - 論文掲載]
濱口さん(D3)が筆頭著者，横山君(2023年度修士修了)が第二著者，三譯さん(D1)が第三著者，荒井教授が最終著者の論文がIndustrial & Engineering Chemistry Research (IF: 3.9)に掲載決定しました．この研究はキリンホールディングス株式会社，株式会社ファンケルとの共同研究で，多成分クレンジング処方の設計効率化を目的として，DPDシミュレーションで得た物性指標と機械学習を統合して予測精度を向上させました．特に分子モデルやシミュレーション結果を学習することで，配合と洗浄性能の非線形関係をより高精度に予測できることを示しました． Post date: 2025-12-05 10:44:05 |
